CFTC launches risk management committee
The committee will conduct public meetings and examine risk management issues relevant to the markets regulated by the CFTC. The reports and recommendations will be used to evaluate regulatory and legislative issues.
It will also provide a forum for discussion and communication of emerging risk management issues to the CFTC, market participants, regulators, and other relevant parties.
The committee will have no operational responsibilities and will have a balanced membership appointed from a cross
