MF Global establishes nuclear trading desk
Scott Lawrence, the former head of nuclear fuel markets at London-based inter-dealer broker Tullet Prebon has been hired specifically to oversee the desk.
“In today’s carbon sensitive environment, nuclear power generation will continue to play an expanding role in the future supply of reliable base-load electricity,” says Lawrence. “A liquid, transparent physical uranium market is imperative to the continued growth of direct investment into fuel supplies.”
