Morgan Stanley buys Duke’s trading book

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) last month approved Morgan Stanley Capital Group’s acquisition of certain wholesale electricity transactions and trading books from North Carolina-based Duke Energy Trading and Marketing. Neither party disclosed the sum of the transaction, which includes 241 separate electricity contracts.
