Alpha Natural Resources elects board director
Alpha Natural Resources, a leading Appalachian coal producer, has elected Ted G. Wood to the company's board of directors.
Wood will serve initially on the board's audit, compensation, and nominating and corporate governance committees.
Immediately before Wood's appointment, the board accepted the resignation of directors Alex T. Krueger. Both Krueger and William E. Macaulay are affiliated with First Reserve Corporation, a private equity firm focused on the energy industry.
