Taiwan’s growing risk appetite

Taiwan relies on energy imports for most of its energy requirements, as it lackssizeable indigenous energy resources. And these imports have grown quickly inthe past decade as the country’s swift economic and social developmenthas pushed up energy demand. But it is only very recently that Taiwan’smajor energy importers have started to look seriously at implementing modernenergy risk management methods to control their financial risk exposure.
