BNP hires former Deutsche commodities head

BNP Paribas has hired Gunnar Hoest, Deutsche Bank’s former head of commodities for Asia, as head of commodity derivatives for the Asia-Pacific region.

Hoest will report to Pierre Rousseau, head of global equities and derivatives in Asia-Pacific, who is based in Hong Kong. Energy Risk understands that Frederic Hervouet, the firm’s current head of commodity derivatives in the Asia-Pacific region, is moving into a different role within the French bank.
