Lynton Jones laments IPE's hesitation over electronic trading
Lynton Jones is the former chief executive of an exchange that no longer exists. The London-based International Petroleum Exchange (IPE), most famous for its flagship North Sea Brent crude oil futures contract, was taken over by Atlanta-based Ice in 2001. Jones himself left several years earlier, going to work for various other exchange companies and founding Bourse Consult – a UK-based exchange consultancy that he still serves as chairman emeritus.
