Oman obtains 30% share in Dubai Mercantile Exchange

Oman will join the exchange as a strategic partner and key stakeholder, joining the established partnership between Nymex and Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding. Oman’s equity investment in the DME comes through the government backed Oman Investment Fund. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, and are subject to approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority.
