The corn swap trade was between Infinium Capital Management and Barclays Capital and closed on April 6.
"We expect to see more speculators and investors getting involved who might not have been able before to due to credit issues," says Jason Cole, agricultural derivatives broker at Starsupply. "We hope that by the end of the year it will be possible to extend this service beyond the liquid futures curve."
This follows Starsupply's announcement of the first ever OTC biodiesel paper brokered
