EDF expands Spanish gas trading activities
EDF Trading, the subsidiary of French utility EDF responsible for wholesale energy market activity, has been granted a licence to trade natural gas in Spain, and plans to start delivery of physical gas to market counterparties later this year.
Domenico Franceschino, head of EDF Trading's southern Europe commercial team, says investment has been made in regasification capacity and pipeline capacity to Spain from France and Africa. Talks are under way about the development of subterranean cavities
