Singapore Exchange Exchange of the Year
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) is the deserving winner of Energy Risk's Exchange of the Year, Asia, for answering an acute energy market need – efficient real time over-the-counter clearing. AsiaClear, established by SGX in May 2006, is the only Asian-based exchange-linked provider of such services.
"We saw a need for a risk management and credit mitigation service that also brings in more Asia-based trading counterparties," says Benjamin Foo, head of AsiaClear and SGX clearing and commodities.
