Constellation completes sale of trading units
In January, Goldman Sachs purchased Constellation's London-based coal, freight and international commodities business. This was followed by the sale of its Houston-based downstream natural gas trading operations in February to Macquarie Group. According to Constellation, the completion of the transactions this week concluded key strategic initiatives designed to reduce risk in its merchant businesses and improve liquidity through the return of posted collateral.
