During a six-month study carried out by the European Federation of Energy Traders, gas traders were asked to evaluate using a scorecard approach, the major gas transmission systems in Europe.
The results showed that traders feel transmission systems operators (TSOs) can do a lot more to develop a transparent and liquid wholesale gas market throughout Europe, says EFET. The evaluation also showed that the German systems appear to be lagging behind the rest of Europe.
