Report notes potential of NGV demand
The Natural Gas Act of 2009 (HR 1835 and S1408) suggests a range of incentives to promote the use of NGVs, including fuel and vehicle credits, as well as incentives for installing refuelling pumps and financial benefits for manufacturers to produce NGVs. The focus is on larger vehicles and fleet owners.
According to a recent report from the commodities research team at Barclays Capital, heavy-duty and fleet vehicles could become a significant source of natural gas demand if NGVs become viable.
