Morgan Stanley builds Canada power and gas team
The new team will focus on western North American markets. It is largely comprised of ex-traders from Vancouver-based Powerex, the government-owned energy marketing and trading subsidiary of Canadian utility BC Hydro. This includes former head trader Murray Margolis and the first Morgan Stanley hire, Ali Yazdi, previously director of California and Southwest markets for Powerex.
