Gazprom seals US LNG deal

The agreement has been signed between Gazprom's UK-arm, Gazprom Global (GGLNG), and Sempra Energy's Sempra LNG and allows GGLNG to supply LNG to Sempra LNG's receipt terminal in Lake Charles near the US Gulf Coast.
"We are very excited about the deal, which will help Gazprom group achieve its goal of expanding its LNG portfolio in the Atlantic Basin," says Frederic Barnaud, president and managing director of GGLNG.
The deal closely follows company revelations Gazprom was focusing on US LNG.
