Gazprom sees huge potential in Asian gas

Gazprom Marketing & Trading's opening of a shipping unit in Singapore signals long-term plans to expand into the Asia-Pacific region.
Gazprom's first office was launched in the Asia-Pacific region two months ago to start spot sales of natural gas, carry out crude oil hedges and carbon trading. It usually sells two spot LNG cargoes a month and has two LNG carriers on long-term charter.
