CFTC allows US firms to trade on EEX

Previously US companies have only been able to trade on the EEX derivatives market via their European subsidiaries, but will now be able to do so by issuing a so-called no-action letter.Leipzig-based EEX sees the approval by CFTC as a further step in its ongoing process of internationalization, and also expects a considerable contribution to the diversification of the market from this move.
