CFTC commissioner resigns

Sharon Brown-Hruska (pictured) has resigned from her position as commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in Washington, DC. Brown-Hruska, who started in 2002, was designated to serve as acting CFTC chairman from July 2004 until July 2005. Brown-Hruska was confirmed by the Senate in November 2004 for a second term as CFTC commissioner.

On August 1, 2006, Brown-Hruska joined National Economics Research Associates (NERA) as Vice President in their securities and finance
