Senate turns attention to cap-and-trade

The US House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security (ACES) Act on June 26, which sets a requirement for a 17% reduction in carbon emissions from major US sources by 2020, compared to 2005 levels and an 83% reduction by 2050.
