Shariah-compliant commodity trading platform launches

The platform will facilitate commodity-based Islamic financing and investment transactions under the Shariah principles of Murabahah, Tawarruq and Musawwamah. Crude palm oil will be offered as the launch commodity, while other Shariah approved commodities will be traded in the future, according to the exchange.

The Malaysia International Islamic Finance Centre (MIFC) was behind the launch of Bursa Suq Al-Sila', which was formerly known as Commodity Murabahah House (CMH).
