EPA lays out GHG regulation timetable

The EPA will begin to phase in permit requirements and regulation of greenhouse gases for large stationary facilities at the start of 2011, EPA administrator Lisa Jackson said on February 22. Facilities will be phased in between 2011 and 2016, beginning with the largest emitters. The threshold will then be scaled down, with the smallest emitters coming under the regulations by 2016.
