EU quells dual-reporting fears over energy market proposals

The European Commission has included measures to prevent duplicate reporting for post-trade data in its latest proposals for legislation on energy market integrity and transparency.

The new Agency for Co-operation for Energy Regulators (ACER), which will be based in Ljubljana, Slovenia when it becomes fully operational on March 3, 2011, will be responsible for monitoring Europe's energy markets to uncover any instances of market abuse.
