Even though much progress has been made, many miles remain on the road to implementation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Commodity Trading Futures Commission (CFTC) has proposed 34 rules and published two interim and one final rule since its first rule-making meeting on October 1, 2010. The last two rule-making meetings are currently scheduled for January 13 and January 20, 2011, after which the regulators will have until July 15, 2011 to finalise the rules
