Gas groups rethink regulatory issues

The International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER) and the International Gas Union (IGU) held a joint meeting in conjunction with law firm Hogan Lovells in Washington, DC this week to discuss how to promote liquid and transparent global natural gas markets.

Among the conclusions drawn by roughly 100 industry and regulatory representatives who attended the meeting was that more co-operation is needed between regulators and operators in different regions. According to the ICER and IGU
