Avoiding STP failure

Why has so long for straight-through processing (STP) to become the hottest topic in technology? It’s not as though integrated processing is new – it’s been practised since the late 1960s. Worse still, the failure rate of STP strategies is still over 50%. Even where proprietary standards exist, the figures are no better, with recent figures indicating that less than half of STP installations have ever seen a positive return on investment.
