US proposes new air pollution rules
The changes were announced on June 13 by Christie Whitman, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the government’s environmental regulator. The EPA says the changes will increase energy efficiency and help reduce emissions by modifying a part of the Clean Air Act known as the New Source Review
