CFTC steps up speculator scrutiny

On July 7, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) chairman Gary Gensler announced a series of public hearings scheduled for July and August to discuss the need for federal position limits on trading in all commodities with finite supply, particularly energy products.
