Forcing energy and commodities contracts into central counterparty (CCP) clearing is "potentially dangerous", says Isda's Noyes.

Energy and commodity contracts are not standardised enough to adapt well to being cleared through a central counterparty, and if they are forced into CCPs the result could be an increase in systemic risk, he adds.
