Abu Dhabi unveils 'Masdar' alternative energy initiative

The government of Abu Dhabi has announced its latest plans for the alternative energy initiative, known as the 'Masdar initiative' that was launched in March of this year. The government will make available four square kilometres of land as the campus for the initiative, which will include an institute, a special economic zone, and an innovation centre and associated infrastructure. It will also provide US$100 million for the creation of a clean technology fund to co-invest with private sector
