NRG presents new nuclear proposals

NRG Energy and South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company, whose reactors supply power to Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi, have filed a Combined Construction and Operating License Application (COLA) with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to build and operate two new nuclear units at the South Texas Project (STP) nuclear power station site.
