Energy Risk Awards - Guidelines
Guidelines
The Energy Risk Awards are a great opportunity for firms and individuals to receive recognition. The awards focus on:
- Prudent energy risk management demonstrated in your field over the past 12-18 months
- Innovation in trading and risk management, particularly if it benefits the wider market
- Expertise in, and insight into, energy derivatives and other risk management tools
- Technology, data, and analytics used in commodity risk management
To enter the awards, select the category you wish to pitch in and check that your firm meets the eligibility criteria. The awards are free to enter, and there is no limit to how many categories a firm can enter. Entries should contain specific examples of progress and innovation in your field.
Each category has its own entry form with questions pertaining to the specific award; after each question there is a suggested word count and answers should aim to adhere to this. Please answer all the questions on the entry form. If you wish to include supplementary information, such as graphs, there is an option to upload additional files (with a size limit of 50MB); these should be considered as supplementary to the entry rather than a primary source of information.
When submitting for several categories, you will need to submit a different entry for each category, as the information required will be slightly different for each. Where there is overlap, it is permissible to replicate information across entries, but wherever possible please be as specific as possible to the individual entry.
It’s important to showcase all information pertinent to your entry in the submission forms, as this provides the primary source of information for the judges. There will not necessarily be any follow-up questions from judges, nor will judges guarantee to consider supplementary information (e.g. file uploads, website links).
The awards are decided by Energy Risk editorial team. Once the submission deadline is closed there is a four- to six-week period for judges to consider the entries; during this period, candidates may be asked follow-up questions by email.
Pitches and any follow-up contact are treated as confidential and off the record.
