EEI unveils Institute for Electric Efficiency

Amid continued concern over the ability of US power capacity to match future demand, the electricity industry is strengthening its efforts to encourage greater energy efficiency.

In response to projections that the US will use 40% more electricity than it does today, investor-owned utility industry group Edison Electric Institute (EEI) has created the Institute for Electric Efficiency (IEE).

The IEE is intended to act as a forum to promote best energy efficiency practices among electric utilities
