APX restructures, makes senior hires

APX Group formally acquired UKPX on June 30 and has combined the UK exchange’s operations and trading platform with its own power exchange, APX UK, and rebranded the integrated company UKPX. The UKPX forwards market will be cleared by APX’s clearing partner, London-based LCH.Clearnet, from August 18.

UK-based natural gas exchange EnMo, also part of the APX Group, will be renamed APX Gas in the third quarter of 2004. This new title will cover the group’s natural gas operations in the UK as
