New board member at RWE
Leonhard Birnbaum has been appointed to the executive board of German utility RWE.
Birnbaum will be chief strategy officer (CSO) for the board, responsible for corporate strategy and business development, mergers and acquisitions, research and development and renewable energy.
He succeeds Berthold Bonekamp, who will go into retirement at the end of the year.
Previously, Birnbaum was head of corporate strategy and business development for RWE.
