E.ON signs up to Iberian exchange
E.ON Energy Trading was admitted as a Trading Member of OMIP and a Direct Clearing Member of OMIClear, the exchange's clearing house and central counterparty. With this addition the exchange has now registered 46 members from Europe and America since its July 2006 launch.
Carlos Gonçalves, head of the trading department for OMIP, said the move confirmed the Iberian power market was an attractive opportunity for European energy traders.
