Exchange mergers will "simplify the picture" for power traders, says Conil-Lacoste
During his 10 years as a commodity trader, Jean-François Conil-Lacoste developed a trust in markets that continues to shape his thinking at the helm of one of the top players in European electricity, Paris-based power exchange Epex Spot.
"What I gained is a strong conviction that prices need to be established freely by a connection of the largest spectrum of supply and demand, and that is a truly democratic process," Conil-Lacoste says.
