Outlook positive for commodities investors
The recent success seen by exchange traded products, such as exchange traded funds (ETFs), is set to continue over the next 12 months with 22% of investors using them to invest in commodities. Some 26% said they would be using long/short index strategies.
According to the survey, the main concern when investing in commodities was a fear of further deterioration in fundamentals. A general aversion to risk, fears of deflation and liquidity concerns were the other factors affecting investment.
