Ready for takeoff?

On October 24, 2008 European Union justice ministers rubberstamped a deal, agreed between the European Council and the European Parliament in June 2008 requiring that from 2012, all airlines operating flights, both within the EU, as well as external flights taking off or landing in the EU, will participate in the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).
