CEZ to spend e30 million on CERs

Czech utility CEZ will spend v30mn on Kyoto projects, an official from the company said at the opening day of Point Carbon's conference in Copenhagen. The company started investing in projects yielding carbon credits earlier this year, but unveiled their full purchasing strategy at the conference.

CEZ will split their spending between investment in funds, purchasing CERs from project developers and becoming involved in joint implementation (JI) projects in neighbouring countries in Central Europe
