Traders make move to NBC

Tim Simard is the new head of the National Bank of Canada's energy risk management group, following the departure of Jeff Ader. James Joyce will now head NBC's energy trading desk.

Both Simard and Joyce joined NBC last year, after leaving RiskAdvisory, which they co-founded with Bruce Calvin in 1995. Calvin also joined NBC at the same time, leaving the Alberta Watt Exchange (Watt-Ex), where he was chief executive.

NBC has also hired two energy traders. Miro Powojowski leaves TD Securities to join
