APX, a provider of transaction processing services for the electricity industry based in Santa Clara, California, has appointed Dan Steimle as vice-president and chief financial officer (CFO). He succeeds Russ Kinsch as CFO, who had been on a leave of absence for personal reasons. Steimle’s 15-year career as a CFO has spanned the telecommunications, broadband, microprocessor and operating system sectors.
