Choppy seas for shipping’s carbon scheme accord

Calls to implement a carbon emissions trading scheme (ETS) for global shipping are growing ahead of the International Maratime Organization’s (IMO’s) next scheduled meeting in September, stoked by fears that proposed regional schemes would be disastrous for the sector.
