Creststreet launches Alternative Energy Opportunities
Toronto-based fund manager Creststreet is preparing to launch an offshore version of its Alternative Energy Fund.
The Cayman Islands domiciled Creststreet Alternative Energy Opportunities Fund is expected to launch before the end of 2009 with around $25 million in assets. It will aim to generate returns of 1-2% a month.
Creststreet's Alternative Energy Fund returned 142.1% in 2008. This compares with -38.4% for the S&P 500 and -69.9% for the WilderHill Clean Energy Index. The fund has produced
