FOA liquidity project nears completion

The Futures and Options Association (FOA) project to enhance liquidity on the UK power market is nearing completion, according to FOA chief executive Anthony Belchambers.

In mid-2007, the FOA launched a request for proposals inviting providers of clearing and other market infrastructure to deliver a central clearing service for the trading of prompt power, compile a set of power reference prices and establish an auction market.
