More delays for Italian wholesale power exchange
The start date for Italy’s wholesale power exchange has been delayed again due to insufficient supply, according to Italian industry minister Antonio Marzano.
The bourse was due to go live at the start of February and was expected to processup to 40% of Italian electricity demand for 2004. Around 30 operators, includingmany of Italy’s main power utilities, are expected to take part in thepower exchange.
