Defries makes switch to JP Morgan
Paul Defries, previously Hong Kong-based head of macro trading at commodity supply chain manager Noble Group, has joined JP Morgan in Singapore in a newly created position as a coal, emissions and freight trader.
Defries reports to Mansoor Sheikh, London-based managing director of energy trading, and locally to Ouyang Xiuzhang, who joined the bank as the head of Asia energy trading in Singapore earlier this year.
The appointment comes as part of JP Morgan's rapid expansion of its commodities team
