UN rejects CDM projects

The UN body that accredits Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects has rejected four projects because it was not clear that the projects would cause carbon reduction that would not have occurred in the absence of the Kyoto Protocol.

The UN Executive Board (EB) has rejected the four projects: two India-based wind power projects and two Mexico-based energy efficiency projects.
