Austrian Energy Exchange launches emissions trading

The price for the emissions certificates was €23.95 a tonne, which was in line with the prices at other European exchanges (€23.99 at Paris-based Powernext and €23.85 at Germany’s EEX).

Eight companies traded 7,500 tonnes of EUAs between them at the auction.
