Avista Corp, an energy company based in Spokane, Washington, has promoted Karen Feltes to senior vice-president and Marian Durkin to chief compliance officer. Feltes, currently vice-president for human resources and corporate secretary, joined Avista in 1998. Durkin is currently the firm's chief legal officer and joined Avista in August 2005 from United Air Lines in Chicago.
